The grand finale...

Final day final section to Banyuls

Follow the waymarks through the woods

Too windy even for my hat but can see the sea

That's Banyuls down there !

Sea level at last

Been for a paddle

And I have walked 500 miles, and I have walked 500 miles!

Glad to see that you ended the walk with a paddle in the sea - similar to Tom and I after the (slightly longer than promised) walk in Beer we all did together... Hope you also had a few pints of ale to end as well!
Amazing blog - have really loved reading about you adventures. And I have to say most of the time we have been very jealous, especially on a Monday morning at work!
Looking forward to catching up soon.

About us: On the 15th May 2011, Sarah and Rick will set off to walk 900km across the French Pyrenees. The trek from the Atlantic coast to the Mediterranean will take 48 days and involves almost 50,000m of ascent and descent (equivalent to scaling Everest three times). The walk marks the second anniversary of Matt's death and is an adventure he would have fully endorsed. We set up this blog up to tell you a bit more about the challenge, and keep you posted on our progress. Trekking is such a great way to experience the world but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. At Matt's funeral, many of us pledged to do something challenging and extraordinary to celebrate his life. We hope this blog inspires you to seek new adventures in 2011. The world is such a wonderful place - explore, dream, discover!
